agonizing questions. Comprehending the vital link between the financial factors and the
psychological aspects of buying and selling a business is as critical as the mechanical
aspects of completing a transaction.
Peter Colella has been active in corporate finance activities on a national and
international level over the course of his 32 year career. Since 1981 when he founded
Colmen, his areas of specialization have involved all aspects of Colmens services:
Investment Banking, Turnarounds, and Management Advisory.
Mr. Colella has taken Colmen to new levels in merger and acquisition, corporate finance
and business consulting services, including sales, purchases, divestitures, joint
ventures, leveraged transactions and management buyouts in both private and public
companies. In addition to over 300 successful investment banking transactions, he has also
built a stellar performance record with turnarounds and profit improvement services over
the past twenty years. Mr. Colella has assembled the Colmen Team of
operational professionals, positioning Colmen to address the contemporary needs of the
business community. Mr. Colella shares his expertise in seminars and public speaking
engagements throughout the country.
Previously, Mr. Colella was employed by billion dollar manufacturing and distribution
firms. He was a financial officer with Berwind Corporation, a private Philadelphia-based
diversified industrial company. Additionally, he was a financial officer for the North
American operations of Royal Doulton China, Ltd.
Mr. Colella holds an MBA from St. Johns University and BS degree in Business
Administration from LaSalle College. He is active in a number of civic, social and
business organizations and has served as vice president, president and board chairman of
the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth as well as national vice
president. Currently, Mr. Colella is a Board member of several corporations.
